About the Sexual Addiction Recovery Group
Are you wondering if entering a sexual addiction recovery group is right for you? Many men feel as though they are living two lives—the public-facing self and the secret self that contends with the complex challenges of sex and pornography addiction. One of the hardest and most helpful steps in taming this behavior is to join a group of like-minded men. We designed The Living with Integrity Men’s Weekly Support Group to be that group.
Our Living with Integrity group is for married men seeking to address the underlying causes of their sexually compulsive behavior. Clients are treated with compassion, non-judgment, and respect as they embark on self-discovery and healing. During this group, you will form bonds with other married men to focus on recovery tasks, build and practice empathy skills, understand the trauma caused to spouses, learn skills to help them heal, and explore the root causes of your problematic behavior as you recover from sexual addiction.
In this safe and supportive space, we want to emphasize that every individual here is valued. Our primary goal is to foster an atmosphere of compassion, understanding, and connection. Each person learns specific tools and information to support their recovery from sex and pornography addiction. Addressing the challenges of compulsive sexual behavior takes courage, and no one does it alone.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our group. What you share here stays here. This commitment to privacy is a crucial aspect of this group. Your journey is yours to share at your own pace, and we encourage a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to each other’s stories.
Why Join This Sexual Addiction Recovery Group?
Professional Guidance: Each group is led by a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist.
Structured Approach: This group’s six-week cycle is based on the task recovery model, designed to guide you toward sobriety and self-discovery. It is structured to help you accomplish the first seven tasks of sobriety and equip you to heal those hurt by your past behaviors.
Help You Heal/Help Her Heal: The ripples of addiction are widespread, leaving a wake of damage in relationships. In this group you will not only set the foundations for your own healing and sobriety, you will also begin understanding the impact of your behaviors on your closest relationships. Did you know there are actual steps and skills you can learn to bring healing to these relationships? In this group, you will learn and practice what to do when your partner’s trauma is triggered and how to be the principal agent of healing in their life.
Community Support: We prioritize your well-being and are dedicated to supporting each individual, understanding that everyone’s recovery journey is unique. By nurturing a sense of safety, we strive to cultivate an environment where you can comfortably learn, heal, and grow.
