Life Coaching for Women

Why Life Coaching for Women?

Many women hold their families together, juggling multiple and competing responsibilities, and yet feel an unspoken sense of lack of fulfillment and purpose. Combine this with the complexities women face in life, career, relationships, parenting, cultural and religious pressures, and self-discovery. Navigating life as a woman is complex.

As a Pastor and a life coach, Elaine Scott has over 30 years of experience helping women discover a firm foundation of values and purpose, gain a clear sense of direction, experience greater self-awareness and develop ways to bring joy, meaning, and fulfillment back to their lives.

Life Coaching for Women can bring a sense of purpose to your goals

Coaching vs. Psychotherapy

Coaching and Psychotherapy are each distinct disciplines aimed at supporting individuals in their personal development. However, they differ in their focus, approach, and goals.

Life coaching for women primarily focuses on helping women identify and achieve specific goals. Your coach will implement a forward-thinking approach emphasizing action-oriented strategies, accountability, and skill building.

Our life coaches undergo specific training and certification to become life coaches. Still, as of right now, coaching is not regulated by any state licensing boards.

Counseling and therapy, on the other hand, address emotional, psychological, and mental health issues. Our therapists at East Cobb Relationship Center have undergone advanced training in their expertise and utilize therapeutic techniques to create a safe space to experience healing and growth.

If you are still determining if coaching or counseling is a good fit for you, please reach out for a complimentary phone consult to help you choose the best fit. Your well-being is essential. We want to help.

Life Coaching for Women: Your Values

As we give more and more to others and the demands on our time increase, it’s easy to experience a loss of identity. The sense of purpose we felt when we were younger seems lost forever or a mere childhood fantasy. A life of adulthood and motherhood may feel like a life resigned to service to others at the expense of yourself. Life coaching can help you connect with your core values and begin to live and make decisions aligned with your true self. Through exercises and discussions, Elaine will help you experience greater self-awareness and re-discover a sense of direction and meaning.

Goal Setting

Women often encounter unique challenges when it comes to setting and pursuing goals. Societal expectations and conflicting external pressures and responsibilities can lead to self-doubt and helplessness. Life coaching is a safe place to articulate your dreams and aspirations. Furthermore, Elaine will help you develop an actionable and measurable plan to help you with the motivation and clarity you need to move forward. A good strategy is an essential part of overcoming obstacles and staying focused.

Empowerment and Boundary Setting

Self-confidence and assertiveness are crucial skills, personally and professionally. Are you tired of being referred to in a derogatory way for being assertive? For too long, being a good Christian woman has meant hiding your voice and smiling at the things that are hurtful or even harmful. As a coach, Elaine will help you develop the tools and techniques to step outside your comfort zone and create the self-validation that your voice matters—learning to find and express your voice in a way that doesn’t depend on the validation of others.

At some level, we all operate from limiting beliefs and negative self-talk. Some of us have taken on the voices of our past for so long that we can no longer differentiate which voice belongs to us. Identifying and challenging these limiting beliefs leads to a deeper understanding of your worth and capabilities. At East Cobb Relationship Center, we hope that as you gain a more profound experience of your worth and capabilities, you can pursue your passions and assert your boundaries.

Balancing Multiple Roles and Priorities

Mother, partner, caregiver, master scheduler, community member, boss, employee, and employer. These are just a few of the numerous roles women have to juggle. We often juggle these roles while still being responsible for the necessities of life, such as groceries, laundry, and remembering all the birthdays. This juggling act leads to feelings of overwhelm, depletion, stress, and isolation. Balance is a myth. It implies a stillness that doesn’t exist in the real world. Life coaching offers strategies and supports to help women find dynamic solutions to an active life. Life coaching enables you to organize and develop priorities. You’ll learn how to work with boundaries, barriers to boundaries, mind management, and effective stress management. These tools can help you find joy and harmony in your life. Don’t risk looking back on your life and realizing you spent your most joyful years running yourself ragged.

There is a way to engage with your diverse responsibilities and still find joy, meaning, and purpose.

Womanhood and motherhood are not sacrifices to endure but blessings to enjoy.

Relationships

The core of life is relationships. As women, we find ourselves responsible for relationships. Yet, many of us carry around hurts from past relationships. From mean girls in school, toxic dating, and marital relationships to a mother hunger that is always lurking under the surface. As your life coach, Elaine will help you with conflict-resolution techniques. She’ll teach you boundary-setting strategies, and address behavior patterns that may hinder creating authentic connections.

If you need help navigating relationships with your adult children, wayward children, internal office politics, parents, or in-laws, don’t hesitate to contact Elaine to see if she is a good fit.
