Registered Play Therapist For Children & Women’s Therapy

If you are here reading this right now, you may be in a hard place. You want peace in your life, home, and relationships, and you need the right tools and a safe space to help this happen. Do you feel isolated, stuck, tangled up, trapped, frustrated, and/or broken? Do you feel like the more you try to break free from what’s weighing you down, the more tangled up and frustrated you are? Whether you are a woman going through life struggles, someone dealing with the after-effects of trauma, or a parent who is feeling frustrated with your child’s behaviors, trying to get unstuck and untangled can be isolating and frustrating. Sometimes, it feels like you have already tried everything and nothing is helping.

For women going through life transitions, losses, anxiety or depression, feeling stuck in a difficult relationship, or dealing with the after-effects of trauma: all of these bring turbulence in life, and it can be difficult to break free from patterns and/or relationships that are no longer working for you. It can be difficult to know who to trust, and often, multiple people are giving us conflicting advice. We want to heal from these peacefully, to feel understood and supported, and in an environment that is free from judgment. As well as being trained in helping women with these issues, I have worked through these issues myself and understand and have compassion for where you are and what you are facing.

There is hope.

For parents managing struggling children, it can be challenging dealing with your child’s meltdowns, dealing with complaints from other adults and children about your child, and just wanting to help your child when nothing seems to work. Everyone wants you to “fix” your child’s behaviors or emotional struggles. And you want your child to be able to communicate better, to get along better with others, to stop aggressive or shutting down behaviors, and to manage their emotions without battles and major meltdowns.

I have raised and successfully launched a child myself and helped many children and parents over the years to successfully work through these issues and reach their goals. The children I work with typically struggle with aggressive behaviors, difficulty managing their anger, difficulty with social skills, difficulty regulating and expressing their emotions, difficulty with impulsive behaviors, trouble sleeping, physical meltdowns, shutting down, and excessive worries. Parenting a child with any of these struggles can be isolating and feel defeating. And early intervention can prevent things from escalating as children get older. As well as working with children individually, I make the parents part of the process, guiding them in working with their child’s individual struggles and helping the parents feel supported and heard. As a women’s therapist and registered play therapist for children, let me help you through these difficult struggles and assure you that there is hope for your child to become as successful in life skills as you know they can be.
