Betrayal Trauma Recovery, Marriage Therapy
Hi, I’m April,
I want to commend you for taking the first step toward help, healing, and hope. Inviting a trained counselor into your journey is a courageous decision. Life can sometimes throw unexpected situations our way that leave us devastated and feeling hopeless. But nothing is as hopeless as it seems. Often, our pain creates unique opportunities to become something we never imagined possible.
Are you a once-happy partner facing a shocking new reality? Or perhaps you are living in chronic distress with your spouse, partner, or another family member. Maybe you feel disconnected, overwhelmed, and lost, unsure how to begin putting the pieces back together. You don’t have to stay in that place of pain. You weren’t meant to face it alone. We can journey together in a safe, non-judgmental space where you can begin to find hope for a different future.
I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling while pursuing professional licensure. I am also enrolled in specialized training in the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), which integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, and an understanding of how our bodies respond to stress (such as fight, flight, or freeze).
More than credentials, I bring lived experience, perspective, and an unwavering belief in what is possible for you. I understand the pain of betrayal firsthand and living in chronically painful relationships with family members. But I also know the hope and strength that can emerge when you choose a different path forward. I help individuals establish healthy boundaries and create new realities, and couples build resilient futures.
